Here I am again, killing two (or three) birds with one stone. I made this card for Gingersnap Creations Sandpaper Challenge. I used sandpaper to sand the Core'dinations Black Magic paper that I had embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. Hearts in Touch is the vendor sponser for this challenge and I used one of her lovely images for this card. I really like how it turned out. It also follows the Rubberstamp Chat December sketch challenge here. And last, but certainly not least, this will be my mom's birthday card.
On a personal note, it's snowing here. I know much of the country has been hit with blizzards and severe snow, but this is our first measurable snow of the season. Happy Holidays to all!

Just call me cocky!
Wow! I was actually lucky enough to be picked by one of Helga's kitties to win her blog challenge last week. I got to pick 3 free collage sheets from Artchix Studios. Way cool. So, on a beginner's luck high, I'm entering this week as well. Helga's challenge this week is to create something with scraps. I made the background for this ATC using the Serendipity technique which is a great one for using up scraps. The scraps are from Christmas card making (yes, still plodding along at this). Then I glued on some spare Artchix images I had leftover from Artchix swaps and added some German scrap to the top. We'll just see what Helga's kitties think of me this week.
Gingersnap Creations Challenge-Winter Wonderland
I made this ATC for a swap and for the Winter Wonderlandchallenge. It's rather mild here today, but it won't last--it's supposed to get bitter cold again by tomorrow. Brrr! Ooops, edited to ad that the prize for this challenge is provided by Hearts in Touch.

Monochromatic Challenge and Challenge #7 Get Inspired by a Project
Okay, nothing like hitting two (or 3) birds with one stone. At this time of year, that's the only way I'll even come close to accomplishing what I hope to. This cute little calendar book was inspired by a project over at Stamper's Quest on line magazine. I made several of these, of various designs, to give to my childrens' teachers and friends and family. This design uses a stamp from Innovative Stamp Creations and is in done in shades of green. It's my entry for Gingersnap Creations monochromatic challenge. It also satisfies the challenge requirements for Helga's (from Artchix studios) blog challenge. Helga is running a series of 9 challenges on her blog and this is #7 and the first I've participated in.
